So you’ve got your ticket and your member cap, and you can’t wait to get inside the arena and cheer on the JJ’s as we take the court for our inaugural season.
So what else do you need to know?
We’ve come up with a list of FAQs that we hope will help our supporters as we march together and make history as Tassie re-enters the Hungry Jack’s National Basketball League!
So remind me again, when does this all happen?
Our first game is Friday, 3 December
I’ve been under a rock, where is this happening?
At the multi-million dollar, newly refurbished, state-of-the-art MyState Bank Arena.
Brooker Highway, Glenorchy.
And what time’s the game?
7.30pm
But what time should I arrive?
Come early! Lots of pre-game entertainment you won’t want to miss!
Doors open at 6.00pm. A chance to stock up on merchandise, food and beverage, including a separate merchandise stand dedicated to the new Space Jam jerseys and attire.
Internal doors open at 6.30pm. This is when you can go inside the arena and take your seat.
So, is there anything else to do pre-game?
Of course! There’s a couple of basketball rings for shootarounds, free face painting and balloon artists, your chance to meet Jack the Jumper for photos and high-fives, and our resident DJs the Kombi Krew entertaining you outside the arena. All of this fun starts from 6.00pm.
What about inside? Any other activities?
Glad you asked. Yes there is. Try your skills on our Bulk Nutrients Smoothie Bike, test your pedal power to make your own delicious and nutritious smoothie. Or commemorate this historic night at the MyState Bank photo booth. Or, for those of you over 18, visit one of the Willie Smith’s Cider bars.
If I get to my seat early, are you giving me $500?
Ahh, you're close... but not exactly! Join us inside the arena for Bums on Seats Bingo! At 7.15pm we'll be calling (bingo style) 5 seat numbers, and if that's your seat number and if you're sitting in it - you've won the money! Thanks to MyState Bank! ($500 Visa Gift card.)
How do I access my ticket?
Tickets are all digital!
For our members, log in to your account at am.ticketmaster.com.au/jackjumpers and download your ticket to your digital wallet.
If you purchased tickets to this game only you should have been sent both an email and a text message from Ticketek. Bring this on your smartphone.
Having trouble? Give us a buzz on 6144-9200 and we’ll be able to help!
How can I catch public transport to the game?
Metro Bus are providing *FREE* public transport to JackJumpers game. Visit their website for more details but their services include
- From Glenorchy bus mall, departures between 6.15-7.00pm
- From City bus mall, departures between 5.38-6.47pm
- From Wrest Point, departures between 5.40-6.40pm
- From Rosny Park, departures between 5.30-6.00pm
- From Kingborough Sports Centre, departures between 5.20-6.00pm
And buses to get me home?
Yep, after the game, buses will depart from MyState Bank Arena and return you to your departure point. Enjoy the game without any fuss – park your car and ride with Metro!
What about parking?
Yes, the MyState Bank Arena has free parking. But please arrive early – we’re expecting a full house!
I missed out on tickets, how can I watch the game?
All our games are broadcast on ESPN, which means they’ll be available to watch on Foxtel and Kayo. In addition they’ll be broadcast on ABC Radio and SEN Radio.
What do I need to wear?
You’ll be asked to wear a face mask throughout the duration of the game.
(Other than that please wear any JJs green, or your cap or tshirt, and don’t forget your Foundation Member scarf!)
What time will the game finish?
Basketball games are usually around 2 hours long, depending on Time Outs and of course if we end up going into overtime. Expect the game to finish around 9.30pm, give or take.
