The Boomers are through to the quarterfinals of the Paris Olympics, but not before a nail-biting wait. Australia had their fate in their hands but stumbled at the final hurdle, losing 77-71 to Greece on Friday night. Despite the loss, the Boomers move on to the next stage, thanks to Canada's win over Spain.

The Boomers faced a tough challenge against Canada, suffering their first loss of the Paris Olympics with a 93-83 defeat. Despite the setback, our Tasmania JackJumpers showed their resilience and determination on the court.

Jack McVeigh continued to contribute with crucial points, and Will Magnay gave his all in limited minutes.

South Sudan made a historic start in their Olympic debut by beating Puerto Rico 90-79 in men’s basketball at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
