We’re looking forward to our blockbuster game against the Perth Wildcats, as part of our Tassie Goes Teal to support Ovarian Cancer.
The when and where?
Monday 28 February
7.30pm
MyState Bank Arena, Brooker Highway, Glenorchy
Who are you supporting?
We’re turning Teal, the colour that supports ovarian cancer, to support local gynaecological cancer foundation, S.H.E, which stands for Support, Hope, and Education.
The SHE Foundation have a dream to launch a purpose-built cancer wellness centre in Hobart. This centre will be a space for Tasmanian cancer sufferers and their families at a time when they need it most.
How are the JackJumpers and their partners getting involved?
You might have seen local landmarks and building turning teal this month – including Wrest Point and the University of Tasmania, Sandy Bay campus, so the MyState Bank Arena will be turning teal too.
Our players will run out wearing Tassie Goes Teal tshirts, and our coaches will be wearing the teal ribbon.
During the game it’s 3’s for SHE from SRT! Our partner SRT Logistics will be donating $100 for every 3-pointer scored during the game.
And when our players steal the ball… let’s bank a sTEAL! MyState Bank will be donating $100 for every sTEAL during the game!
And Bulk Nutrients, player sponsor of Josh Adams, will donate $100 for EVERY 2-POINTER Josh Adams scores for the rest of the season!
How can I get involved?
Arrive early for plenty of activities. On the concourse our SRT Cool Zone will become the SRT Wellness Centre ??? Fancy a pre-game massage? How about painting your nails teal? Donate what you wish, and be part of our wellness activities.
Make sure you get your photo taken at the MyState Photo Booth – this time we’ll be suggesting you donate what you wish, in exchange for your photo!
Plus all our other activities will be on concourse – shoot some hoops at our hoop trailer, have a dance or get your hair sprayed green with the Tas Gas Jump Squad, try out the Bulk Nutrients Smoothie Bike, get your Tyrepower Klapper or how about a JJ’s lollipop?! All free, but if you’d like to make a donation to the SHE Foundation look out for our volunteer tin-rattlers collecting your gold coins!
Can I donate in advance?
Absolutely! Please visit The SHE website
