Clint Steindl Notable Games
Clint had several games through the season where he showed his value coming off the bench and shooting at an extremely high level and providing valuable length on defence contesting outside shooters and running them off the line.
His first major game was against the Sydney Kings in game 6 of the regular season Clint came off the bench and scored 13 points in 19 minutes of game time. Clint was perfect from the line in this game, and managed to hit 3 of 4 3 pointers, being able to hit these threes also allowed clint to catch opponents on a pump fake and then hit a 2 pointer after getting past the close out player.
Clint also caught fire against Illawarra on the 23rd of December where he scored 15 points on 5 of 7 shooting. This was a game where Illawarra were on a hot streak coming into the end of the season and the JackJumpers needed someone to step up and help put this game away. Clint was able to come out and hit tough shots to help the JackJumpers come away with the win.
Clint had a perfect shooting night later in the season when we played the Cairns Taipans Clint hit 4 of 4 from the 3-point line and then another 2-pointer keeping him a perfect 5 total shots on the night.
Clint Steindl During the Finals
The Perth series was where Clint was able to shine, bringing in experience of playing against the key players on the Perth roster having previously spent time playing for them. He provided key help on the ever-dangerous Bryce Cotton as a focus from the JackJumpers was the double him early and often to keep the ball out of his hands. Then on the other end Clint was a perimeter threat. Clint shot 3 of 8 from the arc over the series and managed to hit a key 3 late in game 2 back at MSBA where he was able to snuff out a Perth momentum swing and put a finisher on the game.
