Tasmania JackJumpers would like to congratulate the three JackJumpers players and two support staff that will represent the Australian Boomers at the FIBA World Cup qualifiers in Melbourne later this month.
JackJumpers captain Clint Steindl plus Jack McVeigh and Sam McDaniel have been selected in the 12-man squad after outstanding campaigns in the 2021/22 Hungry Jack’s NBL season.
“It’s fantastic that these three guys have been rewarded for their recent performances, we’re very proud to have a strong JackJumpers contingent representing the Boomers” CEO Simon Brookhouse said.
“All three have continued to improve under the JackJumpers systems and we’re confident their talents will be invaluable to the national team”.
Steindl and McDaniel will suit up for their Boomers debut, while McVeigh will appear in his second senior national tournament after playing in 2019.
The Australian Boomers FIBA World Cup Qualifying series tips-off on June 30 against China at John Cain Arena. Tickets are available via Ticketek.
