The Tasmania JackJumpers claimed a gritty 77-73 victory over the Adelaide 36ers in a tense battle at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. The win marks the JackJumpers’ third consecutive triumph, cementing their defensive reputation in a game that tested both teams' resilience.

Will Magnay continued to dominate on both ends of the court, posting 15 points, five rebounds, and three blocks on a perfect shooting night. Magnay’s defensive prowess proved instrumental in limiting Adelaide’s scoring opportunities and anchoring the JackJumpers’ interior defense. Sean Macdonald added 15 points and five assists, while Anthony Drmic’s all-around contribution of 14 points, five rebounds, and five assists helped steady the ship.

Speaking post-game, Head Coach Scott Roth praised his team’s defensive effort and composure:
"Our defense has been our cornerstone all season. It’s what keeps us competitive, especially on the road. Tonight was about resilience, and while there’s room for improvement in our execution, we found a way to get the job done."

Adelaide came out firing, led by Dejan Vasilijevic and Isaac Humphries, who combined for 35 points. The 36ers’ aggressive defense and transition play forced early turnovers, keeping them within striking distance throughout the contest. Despite missing key players, the Sixers’ energy and physicality kept Tasmania on their toes.

The JackJumpers took control in the second half, building a lead through sharp ball movement and timely shot-making. However, Adelaide clawed back in the final minutes, setting up a nail-biting finish. Tasmania’s defensive discipline, particularly in the closing moments, sealed the win.

Roth highlighted Magnay’s impact on the team’s success:
"Will is the anchor of our defense. His ability to protect the rim and disrupt plays is crucial, and his offensive game is starting to catch up. When he’s locked in, he’s a game-changer."

The JackJumpers will now turn their attention to their next matchup against the Cairns Taipans, looking to build on their momentum and continue climbing the ladder.
