The Tasmania JackJumpers are proud to announce that Clint Steindl will continue as the team’s captain for the upcoming NBL25 season, marking his fourth consecutive year in this leadership role. Joining him in leadership are returning Vice-Captain Fabijan Krslovic and newly appointed Vice-Captain Milton Doyle, with Doyle stepping into this role for the first time as the impactful import guard.
The announcement was made today at a special gathering, attended by the JackJumpers’ front office, coaching staff, and high-performance team. Steindl and Doyle’s families were also present to celebrate this significant moment.
This leadership trio will guide the JackJumpers through a busy start to the season, beginning with the NBL Blitz on the Gold Coast starting this Saturday, September 7, followed by the 2024 FIBA Intercontinental Cup kicking off on Tuesday, September 10, and concluding with HoopsFest in Perth starting Thursday, September 19.
Clint Steindl has been an integral part of the JackJumpers’ success since the club’s inception. Under his leadership, the team has reached consecutive NBL finals, and his experience and commitment continue to inspire both his teammates and the broader JackJumpers community. Steindl’s leadership style is characterized by setting high standards both on and off the court, and his dedication to the team’s success is unmatched.
Head Coach Scott Roth shared his pride in Steindl’s continued role as captain, saying, “Clint will be our captain for the fourth year in a row. It’s been an amazing journey with you, my friend. We’re excited to have you back leading this team and setting the example both on and off the court.”
Fabijan Krslovic, a versatile forward who has been with the JackJumpers since their inaugural season, returns as Vice-Captain for the second year. Known for his resilience and ability to step up in crucial moments, Krslovic has proven to be a dependable leader and a key contributor on the court.
Roth acknowledged Krslovic’s growth and leadership, stating, “Fab, it’s truly amazing to see how far you’ve come since you joined us. Your growth on and off the court has been tremendous, and we’re proud to have you continue in this leadership role.”
Milton Doyle, a dynamic guard, joins the leadership group as Vice-Captain for the first time in his third NBL season with the JackJumpers. Doyle’s offensive prowess, court vision, and ability to create opportunities for his teammates have made him a standout in the league. His leadership on the court is evident through his relentless energy and consistency in high-pressure moments.
Roth highlighted Doyle’s unique leadership role as an import, saying, “It’s a rare honour for an import to step into a leadership role on an Australian team. Milton has earned this through his performance, dedication, and the respect of his teammates. Having his family here today to celebrate makes this moment even more special.”
CEO Christine Finnegan added her congratulations to the leadership trio: “Congratulations to Clint, Fab, and Milton. This club is about action, not words, and these three truly embody that. Clint, in particular, has always led by example, staying involved with the community and setting the bar high for everyone. We’re incredibly proud to have you all leading our team.”
The Tasmania JackJumpers are excited for the upcoming NBL25 season and look forward to the continued leadership and contributions of Clint, Fabijan, and Milton as the team embarks on another promising year.
