State of Play

The Tasmania JackJumpers head to Brisbane for a Round 6 showdown against the Bullets at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre this Saturday. With a 2-5 record, the JackJumpers are eager to gain momentum on the road. Known for their defensive strength, the team is led by Will Magnay's impressive blocks and Milton Doyle's record-breaking steals, surpassing Josh Magette's total of 108.

The Brisbane Bullets, coming off consecutive wins, will be a tough opponent. James Batemon has been in form, hitting five three-pointers in their recent 84-73 victory over the New Zealand Breakers. Brisbane’s strong three-point shooting and rebounding will pose challenges for Tasmania’s defense, and the JackJumpers will need an offensive explosion to keep pace.

Assistant Coach Mark Radford is optimistic about the team's progress. Radford stated, "During practice this week, the team showed a strong mindset, locking in on offensive improvements while keeping our defensive intensity high. There’s no room for doubt—we trust our system and each other to deliver a great game for our fans".

BRISBANE BULLETS 89 (Batemon 20, Harrison 15, Prather 14)

In their recent clash against the Brisbane Bullets, Jordon Crawford stood out for the JackJumpers with 15 points, but Brisbane’s James Batemon led the way with 20 points to secure an 89-76 victory. Batemon, along with Casey Prather's 14 points and dominant performances from Brisbane's bigs, proved too much for Tasmania.

Despite Tasmania cutting the deficit before halftime, Brisbane pushed their lead to 17 points in the third quarter.

 SRT Logistics Coaches’ Take
