Scott Roth Returns and Tasmania JackJumpers address Jack McVeigh's Potential NBA Move  

The Tasmania JackJumpers are thrilled to announce the return of Head Coach Scott Roth to Tasmania with renewed energy and focus as the JackJumpers prepare for the upcoming season.

Excited to be back in his adopted home, Roth stated "It's fantastic to be back and see the team progressing so well. Our focus is on the future, and I'm excited to get into the full swing of pre-season. We have a lot of work ahead, but we're ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities."

CEO Christine Finnegan added, “in addition to welcoming back Coach Roth, we are proud to highlight the international commitments of our players: Jack McVeigh and Will Magnay who are heading off to Paris as part of the Australian Boomers squad, while Majok Deng is expected to be announced as a player for South Sudan. These achievements underscore the strength of our development program and the dedication of our coaching staff.

The Club acknowledged the exciting news surrounding 23/24 Club MVP, Jack McVeigh. 

Addressing media speculation he is in negotiations with an NBA team, with no contract yet confirmed, Coach Roth expressed his delight, "Jack's potential move to the NBA is a testament to his hard work and talent. We support our players' aspirations and are incredibly proud of what Jack has achieved so far. This opportunity is a significant milestone for him, and we are excited to see what the future holds for him."

When asked about previous speculation on Will Magnay also being considered for an NBA move, Roth responded “why would you want to hold a 26-year-old back from chasing that dream? From an overall standpoint of the club, in the NBL and our exposure around the world. Wow. What a thing that's transpired here with three Olympians."

Roth also focussed on the club's resilience and depth, stating, "We have a strong team and a solid program. While Jack's potential move is a big step for him, we are confident in the talent and dedication of our players. Our focus remains on building a successful season ahead."
