Tasmania JackJumpers are pleased to confirm the signing of American guard Tyger Campbell on a one year contract for the NBL 2025/26 season as an Injury Replacement Player.

Campbell, a dynamic playmaker with proven leadership qualities, has just completed his season with Rasta Vechta where he averaged approximately 12.8 points and 5.2 assists per game in the German Basketball Bundesliga.

Prior to his professional career, the 5′11″ point guard starred at UCLA, earning All Pac 12 honors and ranking second in school history for career assists.

“Tyger brings pace and poise to our backcourt. His ability to facilitate, score, and anchor our transition attack aligns perfectly with our style - gritty, unselfish, and team first” General Manager Basketball, Darren Smith said.

“I think Tasmanian fans will love his style of play. ”

Following a season-ending injury to Sean Macdonald while representing the Australian Boomers, JackJumpers have utilised the vacant third import spot on the roster.

“We had a lot of good options on the table, and we think a Tasmanian Tyger is a great fit for us” Head Coach, Scott Roth said.

“Campbell is a proven floor general. He competes at a high level, sets the tone in defence, and can take control of games” Roth said.

Campbell will arrive in Tasmania over the coming days to join the club’s NBL26 preseason including the Bulk Nutrients Pre-Season Camp in the State’s North and North West later this month.
