JackJumpers bring in import as Injury Replacement Player

The Tasmania JackJumpers are pleased to announce the signing of Tahjon 'TJ' Starks as an Injury Replacement Player (IRP), to join the group while import David Johnson recovers from a calf injury.
American guard Starks will join the High Performance team in Brisbane with the anticipation that he will suit up against the Bullets, following medical screenings.
“While it’s never ideal to lose a player to injury for any period, TJ brings versatility, depth and an established pedigree. He adds to our guard rotation and gives us another reliable option at both ends of the floor" General Manager Basketball Darren Smith said.
"As Scott has stated, we usually wouldn't look to bring in anyone for an injury like DJ's but when we look at the upcoming schedule, there’s a heavy game load over the coming weeks and we felt it was necessary to bring in an additional guard."
6'2" Starks has most recently played with BC Astana in Khazakhstan where he's averaged 16.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.2 rebounds per game in the 2024-2025 VTB United League Season.
27-year-old Starks will wear jersey number 6.
