The Tasmania JackJumpers are pleased to announce the signing of Majok Deng for the 2023/24 Hungry Jacks NBL Season.
The 30-year-old 205cm Forward joins the Tasmania JackJumpers on a 1-year deal after stints with the Adelaide 36ers and Cairns Taipans in an NBL career spanning over 200 games.
Deng has played an important role as both a starter and impact sub for the Taipans over the last 4 seasons and most recently averaged 6.7 Points, and 3.9 rebounds during the NBL23 campaign.
Co-CEO Jorrick Chivers said: “We are extremely excited to add a player of Majok’s talent for the upcoming season. He is an exceptional shooter and rebounder who can play multiple positions for us. His length and athleticism will add another dimension to our frontcourt. We also really admire his competitiveness and believe he has the values and work ethic that will resonate with the people of Tasmania.”
He is currently representing the Logan Thunder in the NBL1 North Conference averaging 26.9 points, 3 assists and 11 rebounds.
Majok is the final roster player to be signed for the 2023/24 NBL Season.
