Tasmania JackJumpers players and coaches will engage with fans across the State’s North and North West during the Bulk Nutrients Preseason Camp from August 25-30.
The playing group will solidify their pre-season training and engage in team bonding activities as well as a number of community engagement activities over the 6-day camp.
“We’re very excited to be heading back to the State’s north and north west and to see the fans up there. They are undoubtedly some of our most passionate supporters and we love being able to see them for an extended period in the pre-season” Co-CEO Jorrick Chivers said.
The JackJumpers will hold a Banjo’s Family Day at Market Square in Devonport where fans can meet and greet the JackJumpers players and Coaches, engage with and collect giveaways from our valued corporate partners, eat delicious Banjo’s Bakery and Café treats and take home a commemorative JackJumpers poster.
Banjo’s are also the presenting partner of two clinics in Ulverstone and Launceston aimed at children from 5-14 years old.
“Clinics are fantastic opportunities for children to learn directly from the players and really ignite the passion for basketball and progress their skills. All our players began their basketball journey with clinics like these ones so we’re excited to see the next generation of JackJumpers at these events” Chivers said.
The JackJumpers playing group, coaching staff and front office visit will culminate in two preseason practice games presented by Begents - Ulverstone at Mazda BT-50 Thunder Stadium on August 28 and Elphin Sports Centre in Launceston and August 30.
Details of the preseason games presented by Begents are still to be confirmed but the JackJumpers look forward to hosting quality NBL opposition and giving fans a taste of what to expect in NBL24.
“While the squad does have a few new faces, we’ll still have the same defence-led program. I think fans are going to love watching them on the court and getting to know them in the community” Chivers said.
The JackJumpers will also hold a number of school, club and community activities across the 6 days including engaging one of the club’s charity partner, JCP Youth.
