Local talent Jacob Richards will suit up for the Tasmania JackJumpers this Saturday, with the club contracting the 24-year-old as a Nominated Replacement Player.
Richards is a familiar face to Tasmanian fans having been a Development Player in the Championship winning NBL24 JackJumpers team and captain of the Hobart Chargers in the NBL1.
“Richo has spent some time with us as a training player over the past two seasons, and he continues to improve, show his talent and challenge our roster players” General Manager Basketball, Darren Smith said.
“We’re thrilled to give him another roster opportunity as we navigate some injuries.
“To have local talent waiting in the wings and be that ‘next man up’ is just a great story and testament to Richo and his relentless grit and grind” Smith said.
Richards will travel with the team to Brisbane to face the Bullets on Saturday and will wear jersey number 14.
