FINALS BOUND: Play In Tournament and Play-Offs scenarios explained

The Tasmania JackJumpers have finished fourth in the NBL standings after the completion of the regular season and will take on the Cairns Taipans in the 3^rd vs 4^th Seeding Qualifier this Thursday 9 February at Cairns Convention Centre.

Depending on the result of this Seeding Qualifier, two different scenarios are possible for the JackJumpers to progress through the Play-Offs and then the Championship series, which will result in different dates for home Finals at MyState Bank Arena.

SCENARIO 1

In the event the JackJumpers win the Seeding Qualifier, they will essentially finish 3^rd and will progress to a best of three game Play-Off Series (1) against New Zealand Breakers beginning with Game 1 on Sunday, 12 February 2023 at Spark Arena.

Game two of this series would be a home final on Thursday 16 February 2023 at MyState Bank Arena, and Game three, if needed, would be played on Saturday 18 February at Spark Arena.

The winner of the Play-Offs Series (1) will progress to a best of five game Championship Series against the winner of Play-Offs Series (2) with the scheduling to fall after the FIBA window (Feb 20-28).

SCENARIO 2

In the event the JackJumpers lose the Seeding Qualifier, they will play the winner of the Play In Qualifier between Perth Wildcats and South East Melbourne, on Sunday, 12 February 2023 at MyState Bank Arena.

If the JackJumpers win this sudden death Play In Game they will essentially finish 4^th and will progress to a best of three game Play-Off Series against Sydney Kings beginning with Game 1 on Wednesday 15 February 2023 at Qudos Bank Arena.

Game two of this series would be a home final on Friday 17 February 2023 at MyState Bank Arena and Game three, if needed, would be played on Sunday 19 February at Qudos Bank Arena.

The winner of the Play-Offs Series (2) will progress to a best of five game Championship Series against the winner of Play-Offs Series (1) with the scheduling to fall after the FIBA window (Feb 20-28).

JackJumpers 12 & 14 game members will have first priority to tickets for any home Finals at MyState Bank Arena.
