Doyle's Goal Clear

He’s been a JackJumpers player for less than a week, but Milton Doyle has lofty ambitions at his new club. The versatile guard’s goal is clear.

“Winning … winning the championship,” he said on Friday.

“They (the JackJumpers) had a great year last year and made it all the way to the championship and fell a little short, so this year is going to be big expectations.“I'm hoping to be a part of some history being made there.”

Doyle and forward Rashard Kelly were the JackJumpers’ final two signings for the 2022/2023 Hungry Jack’s NBL Season.The 28-year-old set to play a vital role, following the departure of star playmaker Josh Adams.

“I think I bring playmaking ability, being able to get guys involved and creating my own shot,” Doyle said.

“I play defence to be able to help the team out in a majority of ways, so a little bit of everything.”

Like Adams, Doyle won’t be afraid to take the big shots.

“If it falls that the way, I think I can make those plays. I will never be scared of the moment,” he said.

“I've made big plays throughout my career. So if it falls in my hands, I would definitely take the shot, but I think there's a lot of guys on the team that can do it.”

Doyle played ten games for the Brooklyn Nets during the ‘17-18 NBA season, and was a key figure for the Windy City Bulls’ G-League team throughout 2019 and 2020.

He most recently lined up for Gaziantep Basketball in the Turkish Basketball Super League.“It's always been a destination to play,” Doyle said of the chance to play in Australia’s NBL.“I just haven't got the chance to get over there. So when I had an opportunity like this, I couldn't turn it down … great opportunity.”
