9. The JackJumpers reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of Submissions and is responsible for determining whether a person has complied with these Terms and Conditions and/or is eligible to win a prize in its reasonable discretion.
Prize/Shoot-Out Contest
10. All Entrants who submit a correct Submission by the Closing Date via the official platform InTix (Contestants) will be invited to participate in a Shoot-Out Contest (Contest). JackJumpers will determine the Contestants by no later than 13 February 2026, and will notify them only via the email address provided in their Submission.
11. For the avoidance of doubt, the Competition will be limited to the first 50 Entrants who submit a correct submission by the Closing Date. As per clause 7(b) above, the Competition will be closed immediately once 50 Entrants have submitted a correct Submission.
12. The Contest will take place at the Round 22 Home Games of the JackJumpers. In the event that the Round 22 Home Game is cancelled or rescheduled or if the Contest cannot for whatever reason take place on that day, the Contest will take place on another date as determined by JackJumpers and notified to the Contestants.
13. Contestants must participate in the Contest themselves, and are not permitted to send a replacement on their behalf. If individuals are unable to attend the Contest, they will be disqualified from the Competition.
14. The Contest process will be as follows:
a. The order in which Contestants take their shot will be determined by the order in which they made their correct Submission.
b. Three-Point Round:
i. All Contestants will participate in the first round and each Contestant will have one shot at the basket from a spot designated by JackJumpers, which shall be behind the 3-point line (the Three Point Rounds).
ii. Contestants who successfully make their shot will progress to the next round. Contestants who miss in the first round will be eliminated.
iii. The shoot-out will continue in successive rounds on the same basis from a new spot designated by the JackJumpers from behind the 3-point line until only one Contestant remains, who will be declared the winner.
iv. If no Contestant makes a successful shot in a given round behind the 3-point line, all Contestants from that round will remain in the Contest and proceed to another round, in which the shot will be taken from the free-throw line (the Free-Throw Line Rounds).
c. Free-Throw Line Rounds:
i. The Contestants who participated in the preceding but final round of the Three Point Rounds will participate in the first round of the Free-Throw Line Rounds. Each of those Contestants will have one shot at the basket from the free-throw line.
ii. Contestants who successfully make their shot will progress to the next round. Contestants who miss will be eliminated.
iii. The shoot-out will continue in successive rounds on the same basis from the free-throw line until only one Contestant remains, who will be declared the winner.
iv. If no Contestant makes a successful shot in a given round from the free-throw line, all Contestants from that round will remain in the Contest and proceed to another round.
d. A Contestant will be disqualified if they overstep the 3-point line or free throw line when attempting their shot.
e. If no winner is determined during the allocated window at half time, then the Contest will be completed after the match. Any Contestant who leaves the venue will be disqualified.
15. The Contestant who is declared the winner in accordance with the rules of the Contest at clause 14 (Winner) will win a VW MY24 T-Cross Life provided by Jackson Motor Company (the Prize).
Miscellaneous
16. The Prize is not transferable for cash and is non-refundable.
17. The Contestant may, if they do not wish to take possession of the Prize, nominate another Tasmanian resident over 18 years old to receive the Prize (Nominee), provided that the nomination is made as a statutory declaration.
18. JackJumpers accepts no responsibility for, and will not provide any advice regarding, any tax or other financial or regulatory implications that may arise from acceptance of the Prize by the Contestant or its Nominee, or regarding the Prize’s quality, specifications and safety. Entrants are solely responsible for conducting their own research and obtaining independent expert advice in relation to any such matters, and for obtaining manufacturer’s warranties and insurance.
19. Once the Prize is transferred to the successful Contestant (or Nominee), JackJumpers has no further liability in respect of the Prize.
20. The personal information Entrants provide in each Submission is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the JackJumpers Privacy Policy. The Winner’s personal information will be shared with JMC for the purposes of transferring the Prize.
21. The JackJumpers reserves the right to refuse any participation in the Competition or Contest to anyone deemed to be displaying abusive language, or unsafe, drunken or inappropriate behaviour at a JackJumpers venue or event or who otherwise has potential (in the JackJumpers absolute discretion) to in any way damage the brand, reputation or image of the JackJumpers or the Prize donor.
22. Any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the JackJumper’s control); any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; any entry or Prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the JackJumpers) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the JackJumpers; any variation in Prize value to that stated in these terms and conditions; any tax liability incurred by any entrant; any Prize(s); or participation in or use of the Prize. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy conferred on entrants by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement.
23. Except for liability which cannot be excluded under law, JackJumpers and its related bodies corporate, officers, employees and agents are not responsible for any loss, damage or injury (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) arising from or in connection with the Competition or the Prize, whether arising from contract, tort or otherwise. Without limiting this clause, JackJumpers has no liability for:
a. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction that affects the receipt of any Submission;
b. any Submission or communication to Contestants or the Winner that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the JackJumpers;
c. any variation in Prize value to that stated in these terms and conditions;
d. any tax or car registration liability incurred by any Entrant or the Winner;
e. any failure of a Contestant to be present at the time and location of the Contest;
f. any Contestants’ participation in the Contest; or
g. the Winner’s use of the Prize.
24. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Tasmania and each entrant agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tasmania.
