"We're not done": Tasmania dream continues

The message from Scott Roth after Tasmania's first finals win was clear – the JackJumpers want more.

The Semi-Final series between Tasmania and defending champion Melbourne United will be decided on Monday night, after the JackJumpers forced a game three with a 79-72 win in game two.

Tasmania became the first expansion team in NBL history to win a finals game in its inaugural season, but Roth has his team focused on taking another step up the mountain.

“We’re not satisfied….we're not done,” Roth said.

“The building was electric. These guys have done the work all year, and have the right to be in this position, because of all the hard work they've done.

“They continue to fight and scrap and defend the island.

“Super proud of the group, and the effort and the fight, and that's all we were looking for this evening, was to be the most competitive team on the floor.

“It was a heck of a game. It was old school kind of back and forth, and heavy hitters going both ways.”

Import Josh Magette echoed his coach’s thoughts, saying all the attention has now shifted to game three.

“The job's not done. It’s first to two and we'll be ready to go Monday night. Have a good 48 hours of recovery and be ready to go,” Magette said.

MyState Bank Arena was rocking on Saturday night, with another sell-out crowd on their feet for the final quarter. 

Game three between Melbourne and Tasmania will tip-off at 7:30pm AEST on Monday night live on ESPN via Foxtel and Kayo Freebies.
