The Tasmania JackJumpers are pleased to announce the signing of local talent Ryley Haywood as an Injury Replacement Player for Majok Deng, who was concussed in last night’s Round 18 game in Sydney.
Haywood will join the group on Saturday and suit up for tomorrow night’s home game against Illawarra Hawks at MyState Bank Arena.
“Ryley is well known to the Tasmanian basketball community as an emerging talent. He has spent quite a bit of time with the current group as a training player and will fit seamlessly into the systems while Majok is recovering” General Manager Basketball, Darren Smith said.
“It’s great to have another Tasmanian athlete suiting up in a JackJumpers jersey” he said.
Deng has entered NBL Concussion Protocols and he will be closely monitored over the coming days.
Bryce Hamilton has undergone precautionary scans and will be a game time decision on Saturday.
