Tasmania JackJumpers will tip-off their first home game of the 2022/23 Hungry Jack’s NBL season on Monday October 3, in what’s expected to be the first of many sell out games at MyState Bank Arena.
The JackJumpers will begin their second season away against South East Melbourne Phoenix at John Cain Arena in the very first game of NBL23, before returning home to play in front of the passionate Ant Army on the first Monday of the Term 3 Tasmanian school holidays when they host Cairns Taipans.
“We’re really pleased to tip off the season at the start of the school holidays and bring our fans together for the start of another exciting year” CEO Simon Brookhouse said.
“It has been a short off-season, but we see that as a blessing to keep building on our momentum from the NBL22 Finals. The guys are having a good break and are really excited to get back to playing in front of the best fans in the League”.
The National Basketball League has released the 2022/23 Hungry Jack’s NBL regular season schedule in full, with each club to play 14 home games and 14 away games between September 29, 2022, and February 5, 2023 with a play-in tournament and Finals series to follow.
The JackJumpers have secured another blockbuster fixture on Boxing Day against New Zealand Breakers and will again ring in 2023 when they take on the Phoenix at MyState Bank Arena on New Years Day.
“We understand the difficulties that the rolling fixture presented last season so it’s fantastic to be able to plan ahead and have confidence that the season will proceed as planned” Brookhouse said.
North Tasmanian fans can again look forward to two games at the Silverdome, on Friday 18th November 2022 and then on Wednesday 18th January 2023.
Inaugural season Tasmania JackJumpers members have the first opportunity secure their seats with the membership renewal and opt out window now open.
Limited new memberships will go on sale from 10.00am Monday 15 August.
A small amount of individual game day tickets will be available for each home fixture, which will be released closer to the event dates.
“We anticipate that we will have to cap memberships this season and new memberships will sell out fairly quickly.
“The reality of having a relatively smaller Arena is that we can only have so many fans in there each game, and w need to continue growing our membership base while also giving as many people the opportunity to see the team play live as possible” Brookhouse said.
Members and fans are encouraged to keep up to date through the JackJumpers social media pages and website.
