JackJumpers to take on defending champs in pre-season showdown

The Tasmania JackJumpers will be putting themselves to the toughest of tests in a pre-season contest against defending champs the Sydney Kings in Hobart on September 12.  

The teams will tip-off at 6:00 pm for a Saturday showdown at The Hutchins School, with doors opening at 5:00pm.  

Not one to shy away from a challenge, JackJumpers Coach Scott Roth said it was the perfect opportunity to put his playing group through their paces.  

“To have the defending champions come back to Tasmania to play here in the pre-season fits really well with our preparation,” Roth said.  

“It allows us to get a good measure on how we stack up nine days out from regular season starting.  

“It’s a great chance for our fans to get that first glimpse here at home of what’s to come.”

Tickets for the pre-season game between the Tasmania JackJumpers and Sydney Kings will go on sale for members TODAY at 10:00am to 11:00am, before opening to the general public at 11:00am. For tickets, click HERE

The JackJumpers will be heading to the Bendigo Blitz next week, where they’ll be taking on the Brisbane Bullets on September 3 and the New Zealand Breakers on September 6.  

The team’s first game of the Hungry Jacks NBL27 season will be against the Melbourne Phoenix on Monday September 21 at the MyState Bank Arena.
