The Tasmania JackJumpers sincerely thank Assistant Coach Jack Fleming for his incredible contribution over the past four years, as he returns to his home state of Victoria in the coming months.
Fleming and fiancé Alyssa have made the difficult decision to return home to be closer to family later this year, as they prepare for a new chapter with imminent arrival of their first child.
“Our time in Tasmania has surpassed anything we could have imagined coming here four years ago. It’s been incredible, Alyssa and I have loved every moment” Fleming said.
“The club and community have been our family, but the time has come to be with both our families in Melbourne and begin a new, exciting chapter at home”.
“I want to thank everyone who has made our time in Tassie so special, the coaches, players and their partners, staff, sponsors, and the amazing fans.
“Everyone has been so generous, the passion of the community and fans is at the heart of what makes the JackJumpers such a special organisation to be part of.
“We could not be more grateful” Fleming said.
A key member of Scott Roth’s coaching team since the club’s inception in 2021, Fleming was instrumental in establishing the High Performance Program and laying the cultural foundations of the JackJumpers.
“'Flem' has been enormous for our program and we’ll miss his insight and diligence. His analytical mind and game sense has been huge for us” Head Coach Scott Roth said.
“He has a big future ahead of him and I wish him and Alyssa all the very best” Roth said.
Fleming will officially finish his tenure following the completion of the club’s free agency period in June.
“We wish Jack and Alyssa every success for this exciting new chapter of their lives. They’ll be absolutely wonderful parents and we look forward to welcoming another JackJumpers baby to the family, albeit from afar.
“Congratulations to Jack and Alyssa and thank you for everything you have contributed to our club and state” CEO Christine Finnegan said.
