Ultimate Game Day Guide - Boxing Day Basketball

Excited for Christmas? Yeah sure. 
But excited for the JackJumpers home game on Boxing Day? You betcha! 
 
So get that nap in on christmas arvo, you'll want all your energy when you return to the Nest on Sunday and be ready to cheer on the JJ's! 
 
The when and where?
Boxing Day - Sunday 26 December
Game starts at 1.00pm
At the MyState Bank Arena, Brooker Highway, Glenorchy. 
 
How are the JackJumpers paying tribute to the Hillcrest community?
The entire Tasmania JackJumpers family has been deeply impacted by the tragic accident at Hillcrest Primary School in Devonport. 
We plan to recognize the victims and support the community by:
• Wearing black bands on our jerseys 
• Holding a moment’s silence and recognizing the victims pre-game
• Our partner SRT Logistics have donated their branding space on our players’ shorts to Kids Helpline, so the Kids Helpline logo will be shown on the shorts for the full season, as well as on signage inside the arena throughout the game. 
• Kids Helpline will be in attendance and situated on concourse to provide information on their support services.
• All JackJumpers proceeds from in-venue sales on the 26^th December will be donated to MyState Bank Hillcrest Community Public Fund. If you would like to make a donation, visit this link. 
• Badges featuring the Hillcrest school emblem will be available for our attendees to wear, to recognize the victims and the community, during the game.
We have also reached out privately to those most affected, and when the time is right we can arrange to have our players visit the Devonport community and Warriors Basketball Club in the new year. 

What time should I arrive?
Doors open at 12 noon, and we recommend arriving early to enjoy all the activities we have happening.
 
What’s happening pre-game?
The activities start from 11.30am.
Win a Kmart Game Time basketball singlet if you can score a basket at our outdoor hoop.
Facepainting and balloon artists are back. 
Need some free stuff? Of course you do. Come visit us as the SRT Logistics Cool Zone for your sunnies, klapper or glow stick! 
 
What about inside? Any other activities? 
You know it! 
The Bulk Nutrients smoothie bikes are back and we're pretty sure a healthy smoothie and 60 seconds on the bike cancels out any christmas turkey plus extra helpings of pavlova, so it's a win/win! (Look, don't quote us on that, we never claim to be scientists.)

Or, for those of you over 18, visit one of the Willie Smith’s Cider bars. Tis still the silly season after all. 
 
I really want to meet a player, can I get some signatures post game?
Happy Christmas... yes! At the end of the game we'll have some players outside the arena at the marquees near Entrance 2, available to meet supporters! Please note that due to Covid-safety our players can't touch supporters, including being photographed next to anyone. But we'll do our best to ensure that supporters can get to meet some players, as a small christmas gift to thank you for your wonderful support of our new club!

How do I access my ticket?
Tickets are all digital!
For our members, log in to your account by clicking the link below and download your ticket to your digital wallet.
If you purchased tickets to this game only you should have been sent both an email and a text message from Ticketek. Bring this on your smartphone.

How can I catch public transport to the game?

And buses to get me home?
Yep, after the game, buses will depart from MyState Bank Arena and return you to your departure point.
 
What about parking?
Yes, the MyState Bank Arena has free parking. But please arrive early – we’re expecting another full house!
 
Will merchandise be available for sale? 
Absolutely. We'll have 2 merchandise outlets inside the arena, selling our JackJumpers jerseys, caps and of course our limited edition Space Jam jerseys.

What about those who can't make it? How can I tell them to watch the game?
All our games are broadcast on ESPN, which means they’ll be available to watch on Foxtel and Kayo. 
 
I want to play my part to keep Tassie safe, what should I do?
