The Tasmania JackJumpers are thrilled to announce the arrival of all three international imports—Milton Doyle, Craig Sword, and Jordon Crawford—who are now in Tasmania and ready to lead the charge for the NBL25 season. The trio made their first appearance together at the Mazda Car Dealership, one of the JackJumpers' proud partners, marking the start of an exciting new chapter for the team.
Milton Doyle, the final import to arrive, touched down in Hobart today accompanied by his wife and family. Doyle, a key figure in the JackJumpers' journey to the NBL championship, expressed his enthusiasm about returning to Tasmania for his third season.
"Puerto Rico was an incredible experience, but nothing compares to the fans here in Tassie," Doyle said. "Coming back from Puerto Rico, it finally hit me that we won a championship, and it was about more than just basketball—it was for the state. The support we've received has been overwhelming, and I’m ready to get back to work."
Doyle is acutely aware of the challenges ahead, noting that despite last season’s success, the focus remains on the future. "Every year brings new changes. We’ve got new faces, new roles, and the same goal—to win. The championship was last season, and now we’re ready to set new goals and take care of business on the court."
Craig Sword, who arrived in Hobart a few days earlier, is also adjusting to his new environment. "It’s been a great three or four days here in Tassie. The city is beautiful, and the people have been so welcoming," Sword shared. "I’m looking forward to bringing energy to the team and being that reliable player everyone can count on."
Sword, who has already been immersing himself in training, mentioned that while there’s a learning curve, the team has been incredibly supportive. "The guys have been great, helping me adjust to the new systems and terminology. I’m just excited to get on the court and see how I can contribute."
Jordon Crawford, returning for his second season with the JackJumpers, is eager to build on the momentum from last year. "It was a no-brainer to come back," Crawford said. "We’ve got a great group of guys, a fantastic staff, and an organization that’s second to none. I feel more comfortable this year, knowing what to expect and what’s expected of me."
Crawford, who was pivotal in last season’s championship run, is focused on the upcoming season and the challenges it will bring. "We’ve got a hectic schedule ahead, with games in Singapore and Perth, but I’m excited about the opportunity to travel and compete against different teams. It’s all about growing as a team and continuing the success we’ve built."
With the full complement of imports now on board, the Tasmania JackJumpers are poised for another thrilling season with Will Magnay arriving later this week. The team's first preseason appearances are just around the corner, and fans can expect the JackJumpers to bring the same grit, determination, and passion that has made them one of the NBL's most exciting teams.
