The Tasmania JackJumpers & Tasmania Jewels stand with the NBL and WNBL to extend our deepest sympathies to the families and individuals affected by the shocking terrorist attack that occurred at Bondi yesterday. 

We are horrified to see the tragic loss of innocent lives - people that were celebrating Hannukah, the Jewish 'Festival of Light', and who should have been able to go about these celebrations safely and in peace. Everyone in Australia deserves to live safely and free from discrimination. 

We thank the first responders and members of the community who acted with courage and compassion, providing lifesaving first aid and supporting those in need. Today, the NBL and WNBL families stand united with the Jewish community and all Australians. We condemn hate and extremism, and hold those affected in our thoughts and prayers.
