The Tasmania JackJumpers officially launched their NBL25 season with a dynamic Jersey Presentation and Season Launch event, presented by Tasracing, on Friday night at the IXL Atrium at the Henry Jones Art Hotel. The event, attended by over 200 guests, including partners, sponsors, and fans, set the stage for an exciting season ahead, with the team’s eyes firmly on future successes.
Tasracing, proud partners of the JackJumpers, played a significant role in the evening, reinforcing their commitment to supporting local sports and contributing to the vibrant Tasmanian community. This partnership between Tasracing and the JackJumpers highlights the shared values of fostering local talent and building a united, resilient, and proud Tasmania.
The event was hosted by news presenter Brent Costelloe and MC Leah Clark, who led the audience through an evening filled with celebration and anticipation. During the formalities, Head Coach Scott Roth shared his insights on the upcoming season, highlighting the team’s core values and the exciting challenges that lie ahead
"With last season’s achievements in the rearview mirror, our focus is on staying humble and embracing the grit and grind that defines our culture," Roth said. "Heading to Singapore to play our first-ever international game as an Oceanic team is a huge milestone for Tasmania, and we’re excited to go global."
Roth also highlighted the importance of maintaining the team’s strong foundation while integrating new players who align with the JackJumpers’ ethos. "The excitement of this season is driving our core group forward, and we’ve added players who fit our culture as we continue to grow. Thriving in this environment is what pushes us all to be better."
Roth also shared a personal note on what motivates him, both on and off the court. "For me, continuous improvement is key, and what drives me is my family – my daughter, my wife, and the love we’ve all found here in Tasmania. We’re proving that we’re good enough, and I’m incredibly excited about what lies ahead."
The evening set the tone for what promises to be an exhilarating season, with the JackJumpers ready to take on new challenges and continue building on their success, both on a national and international stage.
