The Breakers started strong, racing to a 17-7 lead, but the JackJumpers showed resilience, rallying in the second quarter to outscore New Zealand 25-14 and enter halftime with the advantage.
The turning point came in a stunning third quarter where the JackJumpers' trademark defensive intensity held the Breakers to just three points on 1/15 shooting while forcing eight turnovers. This defensive masterclass extended the lead to 64-44, setting up a comfortable finish.
Craig Sword was pivotal, scoring a season-high 18 points on efficient shooting, including two three-pointers. Majok Deng added 18 points and six rebounds, while Jordon Crawford contributed 19 points and four assists. Captain Clint Steindl chipped in with three clutch three-pointers, and Milton Doyle showcased his playmaking ability with five assists, highlighting the depth and versatility of the team.
