Metro Tasmania and the Tasmania JackJumpers apologise to all members and supporters who were significantly inconvenienced by the cancellation of the advertised free Metro Tasmania services to yesterday’s home game at MyState Bank Arena.
There were some operational scheduling issues and Metro have offered a sincere apology to everyone who was impacted.
While this was beyond the JackJumpers’ control, the club acknowledge the disappointment and impact of the cancelled services, that many of our fans rely on.
“We unreservedly apologise to those fans who were left waiting for their ride to the Arena before yesterday’s game. It’s a very unfortunate circumstance for all involved and we are taking steps with Metro to ensure it does not happen again” Chief Commercial and Customer Officer, Christine Finnegan said.
“We understand some fans weren’t able to make it to the game due due to the cancellations and we too are really disappointed they couldn’t be in the Arena for what was a fantastic NBL game”.
“We are sorry for the disruption caused on Sunday. The JackJumper express will be running for the next home game on Saturday 22 October and all the home games in Launceston and Hobart for the rest of the season.” said Katie Cooper, Metro Tasmania Chief Executive Officer.
Metro Tasmania are a valued commercial partner and the JackJumpers will work with them to ensure fans are provided with reliable free services to our remaining home games.
