Tasmania JackJumpers Centre Will Magnay will miss the remainder of the 2021/22 Hungry Jack’s NBL season as he continues to recover from the knee injury he sustained earlier this year.
Magnay worked with the JackJumpers medical team to give himself every chance to return to the court before the end of this season, however he will require more time to fully recover.
“It’s really disappointing for Will and for the team, but our highest priority is his health and welfare” CEO Simon Brookhouse said.
“He will continue to work closely with our medical staff and we will support him fully in his recovery”.
After a delayed start to the season with a foot injury, Magnay averaged 5.55 rebounds and 2 blocks per game from his 11 games with the JackJumpers in NBL22.
Magnay will continue to support and be a key part of the JackJumpers playing group for the remainder of the club’s inaugural NBL campaign.
