JackJumpers look to “flip the script” in game two

Tasmania JackJumpers coach Scott Roth has challenged his team to “flip the script” in Game 2 of the Grand Final series on Sunday.
The JackJumpers find themselves in the familiar position of being down 1-0 in a series, after losing to the Sydney Kings, 95-78, in Game 1 of the Grand Final.
Tasmania also lost game one to Melbourne United in the semi finals, but managed to fight back and win the series, and now the same challenge awaits.
“It’s just one game, if they (the Kings) had won by one or won by 50, it is still just one game,” Roth said.
“It's a series and it’s the same thing with what we did with United, lost the first game and learnt from it. We've got 36 hours to flip the script and go back through it and tidy up some things.”
The JackJumpers’ strong defence was blown open by the Kings in the second half, as they poured in 52 points over the last two quarters.
Sydney also shot the ball at a sizzling 54 per cent from the field, and Tasmania centre Fabijan Krslovic says the players need to get back to playing their renowned hard-nosed defence.
“It’s something that we don’t do too much (give up high shooting percentages). That's not what got us here. It’s something we've got to get better at,” Krslovic said.
Game 2 of the best-of-five game Grand Final series tips-off on Sunday at 2:30pm AEST at MyState Bank Arena. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN via Kayo Freebies, and 10 Peach.
The NBL Sprint of Game 2 will also be shown on Channel 10 from 3:30pm AEST which includes a condensed version of the first three quarters, followed by the final quarter live - free and in high definition on Channel 10.
