The Tasmania JackJumpers, in partnership with St Lukes Health, are proud to introduce sensory packs at all home games, offering support to fans with sensory challenges.
Each pack includes a weighted blanket, noise-cancelling headphones, a fidget spinner, sunglasses, and earplugs—designed in collaboration with an occupational therapist to help create a more comfortable game-day experience.
JackJumpers CEO Christine Finnegan highlighted the importance of the initiative:
“This partnership with St Lukes ensures that everyone, regardless of their sensory needs, can feel the excitement of a JackJumpers game. It’s about fostering an inclusive community where all fans feel welcome.”
Packs will be available from the box office at MyState Bank Arena starting December 5. They are free to borrow, with ID required and must be returned after the game. Supplies are limited, and the initiative is open to both adults and children.
The sensory packs mark the first step in a broader effort to enhance accessibility, with plans underway for quiet spaces at the arena next season.
