South Sudan fought valiantly but fell short against Serbia, who won 96-85. The Bright Stars showcased their determination and spirit throughout the game.

Despite the loss, South Sudan's journey at the Olympics has been nothing short of inspirational. Established as a country only in 2011, they made history with their first Olympic win against Puerto Rico. Majok Deng and his teammates gave their all on the court, representing their nation with pride.
August 2: Boomers Advance to Quarterfinals Despite Tough Loss to Greece
The Boomers are through to the quarterfinals of the Paris Olympics, but not before a nail-biting wait. Australia had their fate in their hands but stumbled at the final hurdle, losing 77-71 to Greece on Friday night. Despite the loss, the Boomers move on to the next stage, thanks to Canada's win over Spain.

South Sudan faced a challenging match against the USA, ending with a score of 103-86 at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium. The Bright Stars, ranked 33rd in the world, showcased their resilience and determination against the 16-time champions.

July 30: Boomers Battle Canada in Thrilling Paris Showdown
The Boomers faced a tough challenge against Canada, suffering their first loss of the Paris Olympics with a 93-83 defeat. Despite the setback, our Tasmania JackJumpers showed their resilience and determination on the court.

The Boomers started strong but struggled to maintain momentum against a highly physical and fast-paced Canadian team. While the result was not in our favor, the effort and dedication from our players were commendable. Jack McVeigh continued to contribute with crucial points, and Will Magnay gave his all in limited minutes.

July 28: South Sudan Makes Historic Olympic Debut Win

South Sudan made a historic start in their Olympic debut by beating Puerto Rico 90-79 in men’s basketball at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
