Jack the Jumper Rides Around Town

Tasmania’s cheekiest ant has spent the week exploring Hobart, thanks to his friends at Metro Tasmania!

Jack the Jumper loves to climb aboard Metro Buses, and this week has been travelling around to primary schools as part of Metro’s “Talk and Ride” program.

Transitioning from primary school to high school can be a daunting task, so Metro Tasmania embarks on a program with teachers from local high schools to meet with grade 6 students to talk to them about their school next year, and ensure they feel comfortable about the upcoming transition, and how easy it is to get to high school via a Metro Bus. Jack the Jumper was delighted to be asked to be involved! So far he’s visited Waimea Heights Primary School, Princes Street Primary and Mount Stuart Primary, and he’s looking forward to many more schools.

Jack loves explaining his ‘golden rules’ when travelling on buses, which include being courteous to your bus driver, respectful of fellow passengers and a team player who helps keep the bus clean and comfortable!  But… he also loves to have fun, and has been having a great time giggling up the back of the bus as he makes new friends. Making sure they know to have fun and be respectful to others when taking the bus to and from school.

Look out for Jack the next time you board a Metro Bus – you never know where he’ll be!
