Jack the Jumper drops by to isolating families!

Jack the Jumper, our lovable mascot, took to the ‘burbs on Wednesday, paying visits to families currently doing home isolation.
With Omicron variant causing a lot of Tasmanian families to isolate at the moment, Jack knew this must be hard for children – especially those with no symptoms, or those required to isolate simply due to being a close contact. So he wanted to spread some cheer!
Jack visited families around the greater Hobart area – dropping off gift bags of colouring-in, mini basketballs, stickers, yoyos, bubbles and posters. A big thanks to Jack’s sponsor – MyState Bank for helping to provide some of the goodies in these show bags, and powering Jack to get out and about amongst the community.
(A cheeky Jack originally wanted to give kids some klappers – but these noise-making toys may not have been popular for the parents isolating with their kids… so he left them out!)
But it wasn’t all drop-and-run. Jack told the kids he was worried they weren’t getting their exercise so led them in a session of driveway aerobics, and a few games of catch. (Playing basketball over a fence wasn’t easy… but if anyone can do it, it’d be our Jack!)
Jack the Jumper, and everyone at the Tasmania JackJumpers, send our best wishes to all our supporters who may currently be feeling unwell or in isolation.
Any families who missed out on a visit, but might wish to send Jack (or a player) a letter can write to:
