RECENT FORM
Tasmania have dubbed ‘road warriors’ after an impressive start to NBL26 with away wins over Perth, Illawarra and Brisbane before a loss to Adelaide in Round 4. The JackJumpers currently sit at 3 wins and 2 losses from the opening round as they host the Syndey Kings, a team that have proved tough opponents over Tasmania’s journey in the NBL.
The JackJumpers will be without Majok Deng (Hamstring) and David Johnson (Calf), however the spark of TJ Starks as an Injury replacement player has looked promising in his first two games. His offensive power is evident, it’s now a matter of whether he can fit into the JackJumpers trademark defensive system and subscribe to Scott Roth’s mantra - Defend the Island. Bryce Hamilton continues to lead the back court and Will Magnay and Josh Bannan are among the best big men in the league with their chemistry growing by the game.
In the Kings camp, they executed what was dubbed a ‘military operation’ against the 36ers in a highly impressive win over the Adelaide. From losing two of their first three games, and not having defeated Adelaide for more than three years, and the highly anticipated return of former 36er Kendric Davis, Kings couldn’t have implemented the perfect game plan against the 36ers in Round 4. The Kings are riding high on the 24 point win, led by star guard Kendric Davis (22 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists v Adelaide) will be a tough challenge for the JackJumpers as they return to home floor.
