JackJumpers fans can still get a seat at this Sunday’s Teal Game, even without physically being at MyState Bank Arena.
The JackJumpers and S.H.E have launched a virtual seat initiative with all funds raised, donated directly to support local gynaecological charity foundation S.H.E [Support, Hope, Education].
“Of course, we’d love to fundraise as much as we can for S.H.E, but awareness around these diseases and the signs and symptoms is just as important and we feel social media can be such a positive platform in starting these conversations and spreading the message” CEO Simon Brookhouse said.
While the game is sold out, fans are encouraged to buy a virtual seat to support thousands of women battling gynaecological cancers.
Fans will receive a personalised virtual seat graphic which they are encouraged to post to social media and show their support.
“We want to galvanise our entire Tasmanians around this cause both inside and outside the venue and really raise awareness about the limited signs and symptoms of the insidious diseases”.
Virtual seats are among a number of initiatives to raise funds and awareness for S.H.E.
- The JackJumpers will wear a specially designed Teal jersey and shooting shirt, as well as teal socks for the game.
- The signed game worn jerseys will be up for auction following the game with all proceeds to be donated to S.H.E.
- Replica Teal jerseys will be for sale online and at MyState Bank Arena with a portion of proceeds to be donated to S.H.E.
- S.H.E will also have donation stations available on the MyState Bank Arena concourse, with all donations over $30 receiving a teal bucket hat
- JackJumpers partner, SRT Logistics will again donate to S.H.E for every 3-pointer scored by the JackJumpers during the game with a ‘Three-for-SHE’
- JackJumpers Partner, MyState Bank will again donate to S.H.E for every steal the JackJumpers get during the game with ‘Steals for Teal’.
