The Tasmania JackJumpers are thrilled to announce emerging guard Nick Stoddart has inked a one-year deal, elevating him to the main roster in NBL26.

A standout in the NBL1, Stoddart was flying under the radar prior to joining the JackJumpers as a Development Player ahead of NBL25, and quickly showed strong potential, embracing the high performance program and grit and grind mentality.

Picking up crucial minutes in the absence of Sean Macdonald in the latter half of the 24/25 season, Stoddart took the court 10 times for a season total 44 points including a highly impressive 14 point outing against South East Melbourne late in the season.

“It is a testament to the hard work Nick put in, after gaining himself a position as a development player last year and stepping up when needed.

“We are excited to see his development continue” Chief Operations Officer, Darren Smith said.

Stoddart adapted quickly to the physicality, speed and pressure as an NBL ball carrier and thrilled crowds with his shot making.

Off the floor Stoddart has also embraced the Tasmanian community.

"I'm super grateful for everything that’s happened so far, it's been a hell of a ride so far in Tassie and I cannot wait to continue to the journey. I'm super grateful for it and I wouldn’t trade it for anything."

Stoddart is currently spending the off season with the Ballarat Miners where he has averaged 19.4 points, 2.5 assists & 2.8 rebounds per game.

He will return to Tasmania in July ahead of the NBL26 preseason.

The Tasmania JackJumpers have one roster spot remaining with Free Agency negotiation continuing.
