Clint Steindl Joins Tasmania Bloodlines Following Retirement

The Tasmania JackJumpers are proud to announce that inaugural captain and championship leader Clint Steindl has been nominated as the newest member of the Tasmania Bloodlines program. This honour recognises Clint’s immense contributions to the club and Tasmanian basketball, ensuring his legacy continues to inspire future generations.

Head Coach Scott Roth, who established the Bloodlines initiative to connect the past with the present, spoke on Clint’s induction:

“The Bloodlines was created with the intention of someday (NOW) connecting the old with the new! And Clint is the beginning of the new!”

Clint’s impact on the JackJumpers is immeasurable. From leading the team to its first-ever NBL championship to setting the standard for leadership and professionalism, his influence will be felt for years to come. His dedication, humility, and commitment to the club made him the heart and soul of the JackJumpers during his playing career, and now his presence in the Bloodlines group will continue that legacy.

His nomination follows his recent retirement announcement, marking the end of an incredible playing career that spanned 356 NBL games. As a leader, role model, and fierce competitor, Clint leaves behind an enduring mark on the JackJumpers and the broader basketball community in Tasmania.

The Bloodlines program was designed to honour individuals who have shaped Tasmanian basketball, bridging the gap between history and the future of the sport. Clint’s induction follows in the footsteps of past honourees such as Tony Fulton, Nita Burke, and Adam Gibson—figures whose contributions have paved the way for the growth of basketball in the state.
