The JackJumpers are delighted to announce the Captain Clint Steindl is the latest player to re-commit to the club, inking a new two-year deal to remain in Tasmania until at least the 2024/25 season.

“I’m really proud of the foundations we’ve been able to lay as well as the values we have instilled, and ultimately the culture we’re building moving forward. It’s an incredible place to play and be involved in the community. Tasmania as a whole has provided my family and I with an incredible experience” Steindl said.

“Kayla and I have recently added to our young family, and we are excited to have our children grow up and alongside the JackJumpers family”.

Steindl is approaching a return to the court as he completes his recovery from a knee injury sustained while playing for the Australian Boomers at the FIBA Asia Cup in August.

“It has been an experience that I have not had in my playing career before. I know I will be able to trust the work myself and my support network around me have put in place but I can’t wait to be back on court with the boys and hopefully continue some good momentum” Steindl said.

33-year-old Steindl is a two-time NBL champion and has played 271 NBL games with Cairns, Townsville, Perth, and Tasmania.

“Clint is a really important part of our program, both on and off the floor. He’s our captain for very good reason, a leader in everything he does, he sets the highest standards for himself and for all our guys” Head Coach Scott Roth said.

“We’re really happy that he is happy here, and we’re grateful to have his experience to further progress these guys as players and as good people”.
