Drmic’s season high for points came in our pride round victory against league leaders Melbourne United. Drmic not only was able to provide valuable points during the encounter bringing his personal tally to 16 he was also able to help shut down Goulding for Melbourne United, who was held to a below average 16 points and largely guarded by Drmic through the encounter.

Anthony Drmic During the Finals

Anthony Drmic’s stand out game during the finals came in game 1 of the Championship series. Drmic top scored for the team with a season high 18points and provided a much-needed spark during the third quarter where he scored 8 points in 3 consecutive trips down the floor.

Drmic was also playing crucial defensive roles during both the Perth and the Melbourne series being given the match ups of Bryce Cotton during the Perth Series, having the shut down the League MVP is always a monumental task but Drmic was able to keep Cotton to shooting 25% from the floor in the opening game, The second game saw a rotational coverage of Cotton where he shot 50% from the floor and Drmic had limited minutes on him, then in the second trip to Perth we saw Bryce shoot 6 of 9 from the floor but being able to hold Bryce Cotton to just 9 shots played a huge role in interrupting the flow of Perth’s offense, Drmic was one of the key defenders guarding Bryce and played a huge role in getting that series win.

During the Championship series Drmic was given the task of guarding Chris Goulding, the Melbourne Captain is always a shooting threat, and this was a monumental task which Drmic was the key defender for the series.
