A SEA OF GREEN TO SWARM TO HOME GAMES WITH LAUNCH OF INAUGURAL JERSEY

Tasmania JackJumpers’ ant army can now don the JackJumper green and dress like their JackJumpers heroes, with the inaugural home jersey available for public sale from 10am Thursday 14^th October.

The JackJumpers’ very first official jersey features the logos of Principal Partner, Spirit of Tasmania on the front and major partners Bulk Nutrients and Willie Smith’s Cider on the back.

The inaugural jersey is ‘JackJumper green’ with striking gold mandibles featured on the sides. Mandibles are the serrated pincers that give the tiny insect a powerful sting.

Guard Jack McVeigh is excited to embody the JackJumpers’ big impact, despite its small size.

“I’m super excited to wear this jersey, to rep the Tassie green with pride and see the ant army supporting us in this new jersey as well. It’s going to look and feel amazing as we open the season at MyState Bank Arena in this design. We want to play in front of a packed house of passionate fans and do this state and this jersey proud”.

“Aggressive, passionate – that’s what we’re going to be. We want MyState Bank Arena to be a place that other teams don’t want to come and play. I think it’s cool the jersey has the JackJumpers mandibles down the side so teams will really fear the sting! It looks electric”.

“I can’t wait to see kids running around with McVeigh jerseys on. That will be awesome. It feels like it’s all coming together ahead of our first game. We’ve got a fixture, we’ve got a jersey. The team is all here and training and now we just need the ant army to sign up as members and really get behind us!” he said.

The JackJumpers will don the green strip for home games and a white strip with a similar design for away games.
