The Tasmania JackJumpers would like to thank import Marcus Lee for his contribution to the club in the 2023/24 NBL season, after he was advised his contract won’t be renewed beyond NBL24.

Joining the club in 2023, Lee made an immediate impression both on the floor and in the Tasmanian community with his positive energy.

“Marcus has been a great person to have at the club and quickly became very well liked both everyone within the club and obviously by the fans.

“He brought a great energy to the group and was obviously a great presence on the floor for us” Head Coach Scott Roth said.

Lee played 34 games for the JackJumpers, starting in 32 of those and finished 2nd in the club for blocks and 3rd in rebounds.

While injury and suspension interrupted his finals campaign, Lee played a crucial role at the five throughout the NBL24 season and in the club clinching the 2024 NBL Championship.

“Marcus was a fantastic contributor to our club this season, we’ve loved having both him and Amber in Tasmania and thank them for everything they’ve done for the club” CEO Christine Finnegan said.

“We wish Marcus and Amber the very best for their future. They have so much to look forward to, especially their long-awaited wedding in July and we wish them every happiness for the special day” she said.
