The Tasmania JackJumpers sincerely thank outgoing Chair of the Board Keryn Nylander and welcome newly appointed Chairman Steve Old.

The changeover comes after three years leading the club as the inaugural Chair of the Board, culminating in the club’s first Championship in March.

“I’ve absolutely loved my time in this role and while the decision to step down was made several weeks before the finals series, for the club to achieve the ultimate goal while in the role is incredibly special to me” Nylander said.

“I’ve had the privilege of being on several boards and in senior positions across Tasmanian and Australian organisations, but being Inaugural Chair of this club has been the most rewarding because of the positive impact we have had in the Tasmanian community”.

Nylander will continue to serve the JackJumpers advisory board as a Director, alongside Scott Harris, Lauren Jauncey, Damon Wise, and Rob Inches, together with Owner Larry Kestelman.

Tasmanian Hospitality Association CEO and current JackJumpers board director Steve Old will step into the Chairman role after being unanimously supported by the other directors and Owner Larry Kestelman.

“I’m thrilled to take this role on, the club is in a fantastic position and it’s a privilege to be stepping in at such a crucial time in its success trajectory” Old said.

“While we celebrate this season’s championship, we know there is still so much to achieve both on and off the court and I look forward to continuing to driving the club forward with the board, administration and working closely with Scott Roth and the high performance team, to create a powerful and sustainable entity” Old said.

Old assumed the position following the JackJumpers MVP Gala last Friday.
