Is it a cost of $10 per name?

Yes. Each name on either the Championship Wall comes as result of a $10 donation.

 

Can I put my family’s name on the Championship Wall? i.e. “The Smith Family”

Yes, a single donation can be representative of a family name.

 

I have donated for my 5 family members; how do I submit their names? 

Please email Foundation@JackJumpers.com.au with your donation receipt number and the names with correct spelling 

 

Can businesses donate to have their name on the Championship Wall?

Business names can be included on the Championship Wall.

 

What do I get in return for my donation?

In return for your donation, you will receive a tax-deductible receipt for your annual tax return, as well as recognition of your support on the Championship Wall.

 

How do I claim my tax-deduction?

Once you have completed the donation, you will receive a receipt via email. Keep this receipt handy and you will be able to include it 

 

How can donations be made?

All donations can be made online via the Defend The Island Foundation ASF platform using the any of the following methods:

 

Credit Card (Mastercard, Visa and American Express)

EFT

Apple Pay

Google Pay

Direct Debit (for donations of $10,000 or less)

Donors can opt to make a one-off donation or a recurring monthly gift. 

 

What difference does tax deductibility make?

A tax-deductible donation allows you to reduce your overall tax in your annual tax return

 

I’m a foundation member – why do I need to pay for this?

This is not a membership product; this is a launch initiative of the Defend the Island Foundation and a way for all our fans to be a part of history and celebrate the NBL24 Championship!

 

Where is the money going? How are you spending donations?

The Defend the Island Foundation will support the JackJumpers community programs, initiatives, and resources, allowing more people of all ages to access the game.  

 

Will I receive updates on the progress of the fundraising campaign?

We will be providing updates around the progress of Defend The Island Foundation initiatives via our regular social channels

 

Where will the Championship Wall be located?

The Championship Wall will be located at all home games played at MyState Bank Arena and the Silverdome.

 

I am located interstate - will there be a virtual/online wall?

Yes, we will be creating a virtual wall online so you can be recognized no matter where you are based.

 

Is there a limit/cut off to the number of names available for the Championship Wall?

There is no set limit to the amount of names to be included on the Championship Wall. The Championship Wall submissions will close August 1, 2024.

 

Will the foundation fund community initiatives?

Yes. The foundation will assist in funding community outreach programs, engagement initiatives, school partnerships and youth development initiatives. As the Foundation grows, our outreach can also grow and help more Tasmanians access the game.

 

I can’t get a seated membership – why should I donate?

We appreciate everyone’s support in achieving the club’s first NBL Championship, and we want everyone to be apart of it! This is a small way you can celebrate the Championship and support the basketball community!
